Renewable energy has been a growing demand around the world. Until recently, government officials have stayed out of the debate to appease their constituents, but the topic is beginning to seep into government speeches as the demand for alternative energy sources increases. Former vice president Al Gore and current president Barack Obama have both joined in on the conversation of renewable energy, and here is what they had to say.
Barack Obama’s plan for solar power has been in the works throughout his presidency. Since his election into office, Obama’s support of solar energy allowed plans for sixteen solar power plants to be approved, including the largest solar plant ever built on federal lands, the Blythe Solar Power Project in the Mojave Desert near Blythe, California.
